Welcome Message

Welcome to Ephesus Elementary, home of the Roadrunners! We currently serve approximately 450 students from Pre-K through 5th grade in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School district. Our mission is to welcome all, inspire each, and grow togetherWe will do this by providing an engaging, safe, and empowering community that values the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students.

From the Principal

First, please remember that we have a full five days of school this week and then we're off until April 6th for spring break.

Second, please join us for spirit night at Moe's at Patterson Place on Thursday, March 26. If you mention that you're with Ephesus, we will receive a percentage of the proceeds.  And Ms. Sutton and I will both be there working behind the counter at some point between 5 and 8 PM. We hope to see you there!

Third, the Phillips Middle School Improvement Team (SIT) is looking for parent representatives.  If you will have a student at Phillips next year and want more information, please visit the Phillips website.

Thank you for taking the time to read to this message.  I hope you have a great week and a relaxing spring break!

We are starting our Jump Rope for Heart Campaign this week. In PE, our students are learning more about our hearts and how we can be healthy. Donations for the American Heart Association are due by March 27th. Please make all checks payable to American Heart Association. Thanks for your support.

Our annual African American Read-In has been rescheduled  for March 23-27, 2015 and we would love to have your help! During that week, our goal is to have at least one African-American volunteer read in each classroom. We will have a collection of books and poetry authored by African Americans or with African American characters available from which you can choose.  Please click HERE for more information.

The International Festival will be held at EES on Saturday, April 11th. Students can practice their songs for the performance by clicking HERE.
