Welcome Message

Welcome to Ephesus Elementary, home of the Roadrunners! We currently serve approximately 450 students from Pre-K through 5th grade in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School district. Our mission is to welcome all, inspire each, and grow togetherWe will do this by providing an engaging, safe, and empowering community that values the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students. 


From the Principal

First, thank you for your patience with our school closings last week.  We appreciate your understanding that your children's safety is always our first priority.  I will share news about make-up dates as soon as possible.

Second, we have extended our Black History Month poster contest deadline until this Friday, February 27.  We have materials available for any student who needs them.  

Third, it's time to nominate outstanding staff members for our annual Teacher of the Year (TOY) and Classified Employee of the Year (CEOY) awards.  Nomination forms can be found below and should be returned to me by Monday, March 2.
Fourth, if you are interested in volunteering or sharing your talents at Ephesus STEAM Night in April, please click HERE for more information.  We are excited to showcase the many ways that we integrate science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math into our instruction.

Important Information

It's time to nominate outstanding staff members for our annual Teacher of the Year (TOY) and Classified Employee of the Year (CEOY) awards.  Nomination forms can be found below and should be returned to Ms. Creamer by Monday, March 2.

Our annual African American Read-In is planned for February 23-27, 2015 and we would love to have your help! During that week, our goal is to have at least one African-American volunteer read in each classroom. We will have a collection of books and poetry authored by African Americans or with African American characters available from which you can choose.  Please click HERE for more information. 


The EES STEAM Team is planning a very exciting evening for our Roadrunners to be held on Earth Day (April 22nd). We are taking the traditional Science Night and mixing it up with technology, engineering, the arts, math and making!
