Welcome Message

Welcome to Ephesus Elementary, home of the Roadrunners! We currently serve approximately 450 students from Pre-K through 5th grade in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School district. Our mission is to welcome all, inspire each, and grow togetherWe will do this by providing an engaging, safe, and empowering community that values the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students.

From the Principal

First, please remember that Monday is a teacher workday.  We appreciate the time we have to focus on professional development activities and hope that your children enjoy an extra day off from school!

Second, you will either receive a paper survey or you already received an electronic survey about your family's access to the Internet.  We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with this information so that we can ensure all students have adequate access to technological tools.

Third, if you have not already scheduled a first quarter conference with your child's teacher, please do so as soon as possible.

Finally, we know that many of our students will celebrate Halloween on Friday.  Please remember that we do not wear costumes at school.  We hope those of you who do so, have a fun and safe evening trick-or-treating.  And as a way to get our students to eat less sugar, I will give them 1 roadrunner ticket for every 10 pieces of candy that they bring to me on Monday, November 3.  Don't worry - I'm not planning to eat it!  I will share it with our staff, our bus drivers, and donate it to the State Employees' Credit Union Hospital House.  I hope this will be a great incentive for our students to eat less sugar and share with others.
