Principal's Message for 10/10/16

posted Oct 10, 2016, 5:16 AM by 311 Ees

Some important announcements for the week of October 10:

First, thank you to our families for supporting our efforts to raise money for the Walk for Education. I don't yet have a grand total, but we definitely surpassed the $20,000 mark. Every student will receive a t-shirt on Friday and we will have wristbands for unlimited inflatables at the walk on Saturday. I look forward to sharing our Roadrunner Spirit with you at 2 PM at McCorkle Place (next to the planetarium on Franklin St.) for our 20th and final Walk for Education.

Second, the School Improvement Team (SIT) will meet this Thursday from 5:30-7:30 PM in the media center. In addition to our regular monthly reports, we will also share some beginning of year assessment data. As always, these meetings are open to the public and attending is a great way to stay informed about our school.

Third, our first Box Tops Challenge will begin this Wednesday, October 12. Please bring in as many Box Tops as possible by October 21. The classroom with the most will earn a celebration.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message. Again, be sure to follow Ephesus Road Elementary on Facebook and @EphesusElem on Twitter. Please also check out the volunteer opportunities on our website. Have a great week!
