Principal's Message for 10/26/15

posted Oct 24, 2015, 5:55 AM by 311 Ees

First, please note that there is an Internet safety presentation for parents this Monday, October 26 at 6:30 PM in the Smith Middle School Auditorium.  Law enforcement experts will address issues related to cyberbullying, social media, identity theft, and more.  This event is free and open to all families.

Second, we know that many students and families will celebrate Halloween this weekend.  In the interest of preserving the integrity of instruction, and in accordance with school board policy, please remember that we do not wear costumes or have Halloween parties at school.  If teachers do plan fall celebrations, they will host fun activities, play games, or make a craft.  We do not celebrate with snacks.

Third, it's hard to believe that the end of our first quarter is this week!  Classroom teachers are currently scheduling conferences with all families to share information about your children's progress.
