Principal's Message for 10/31/16

posted Oct 31, 2016, 11:05 AM by 311 Ees
Some important announcements for the week of October 31: First, we know that many of you will celebrate Halloween on Monday. Please note that we do not wear costumes at school nor do we have specific Halloween celebrations. We hope those of you who do celebrate have a wonderful time Monday evening. Second, in an effort to have our children eat less candy after Halloween, I am collecting extra treats from students again this year on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. If we collect 200 pounds, we will have extra recess time for all students on Friday. We are happy to promote a healthy lifestyle, including treats in moderation, sharing, and increased physical activity. We will also donate some of what we collect to members of the armed services stationed abroad. Third, please join us at TCBY on Thursday, November 3 for PTA spirit night. There might just be some special scoopers behind the counter from 6-7 PM. Fourth, school picture orders are due November 2. We will have retakes for students who missed picture day on November 7. And finally, please mark your calendars for the International Festival on Thursday, November 17. The event will include food trucks, music, art, dancing, and displays from various countries. If you are interested in helping, please go to the link posted on our school webpage. Please also encourage your students to practice their songs at home. Thank you for taking the time to read this message. Please follow Ephesus Road Elementary on Facebook and @EphesusElem on Twitter. Please also check out our website for volunteer opportunities. I hope you have a great week!
