Please note that grade level newsletters will come home on Monday either by email or in your child's backpack.
Mid-September through mid-October is Hispanic Heritage Month and October is Disabilities Awareness Month. Please talk to your children in the next few weeks about discussions they have in class related to these two topics.
We have a busy week at Ephesus! Please join us for the events listed.
- Walk to School Day Wednesday, October 7 - Please join us on the blacktop from 7:20-7:40 to celebrate walking or biking to school. If you take the bus, we'll have an opportunity for you to walk a lap around the building to participate. Thank you to the Chapel Hill Police Department for providing the speed sign on our front lawn in recognition of this event and to keep all of our roadrunners safe!
- School Improvement Team (SIT) Meeting, Thursday, October 8 - This group will meet in the media center from 5:30-7:30 PM. This meeting is open to the public and attending is a great way to stay up-to-date about school and district policy as well as to be involved in your child's education.
And finally, I am proud to announce that the Ephesus PTA has met it's Walk for Education fund raising goal for the third year in a row! I am amazed by our community's generosity in both time and effort and I look forward to seeing you all at the walk this Saturday, October 10. We'll start at 2 PM at McCorkle Place, which is next door to the Morehead Planetarium on Franklin St.. All students will receive a Walk for Education t-shirt this week and a wristband for unlimited inflatables at the carnival. Congratulations, Roadrunners!
