Principal's Message for 11/30/15

posted Nov 29, 2015, 7:34 AM by 311 Ees

First, we hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break!  We look forward to the next three, full weeks of school prior to winter break.  During this time, please check the lost and found for any items that you are missing.  Anything not claimed by December 18 will be donated to the PTA Thrift Shop.

Second, this is a busy week at Ephesus and around the district.  A list of events includes:

- a district information session about the LEAP program.  This will be on Tuesday, December 1 at 6:30 PM at Smith Middle School.

- the PTA Reflections Art Contest reception at Ephesus on Tuesday, December 2 from 6:30-7:30 PM.

- a delayed opening on Thursday, December 3.  Students should arrive at school between 9:25 and 9:50 AM.  We apologize that we cannot provide adequate supervision prior to 9:25 and we appreciate your understanding that this is valuable professional development time for our staff.

- PTA movie night on Friday, December 4. We'll watch Frozen starting at 6 PM in the gym. Admission is free. The PTA will sell concessions. Bring your chairs and blankets!

Third, looking ahead to next week, please mark your calendars for the book fair and for Literacy Night on Wednesday, December 9.  A flyer will come home with more information on Monday.

Please be sure to like Ephesus Elementary on Facebook and follow @EphesusElem on Twitter.  Please also check out the volunteer opportunities listed on our school website.  Have a great week!
