First, please look for grade level newsletters to come home on Monday either electronically or on paper if you've opted out of email communication.
Second, the book fair will be open for business Monday-Thursday this week. We are also excited to host literacy night on Wednesday, December 9 from 6:00-7:30 PM. A complete schedule of the evening's events can be found on our website. Students are encouraged to wear their pajamas to this event which will end with bedtime stories, cookies, and milk with the principals.
Third, did you know that our PBIS character trait for December is curiosity? I hope you'll ask your children what they have learned about it and what it means to them.
Fourth, the School Improvement Team (SIT) will meet this Thursday, December 10 from 5:30-7:30 PM in the cafeteria. The group's agenda always includes updates regarding staffing, relevant achievement and/or behavior data, the school district's long range plan, our equity work, and information from both the Gifted Parents' Advisory Council (GPAC) and the Special Needs Advisory Council (SNAC). Meetings are open to the public and attending is a great way to stay involved in your child's education.
And finally, our toy and grocery store gift card drive end this Friday, December 11. Thank you to those of you who have already contributed. If you have any questions, please contact our social worker, Marne Meredith.
