Principal's Message for 3/6/17

posted Mar 6, 2017, 8:24 AM by 311 Ees

Some announcements for the week of March 6.

First, please note the change in schedule this week. Wednesday will be an optional teacher workday and school is closed for students. Thursday will not be a delayed opening, but will be a normal day.

Second, please look for grade level newsletters and mid-quarter progress notes to come home on Monday.

Third, we will have a PTA meeting on Thursday, March 9 from 5:30-7:30 PM. In addition to regular PTA business, we will have a special presentation about childhood anxiety and have the opportunity to create activity boxes for when children are upset. Dinner and childcare will be provided and I hope to see you there.

Fourth, we are excited that Clothes Mentor, a women's fashion re-sale store, is hosting Ephesus spirit day on Tuesday, March 7. Ten percent of the day's proceeds will come back to our school. I hope you will consider shopping at the Elliott Rd. location (near Monterrey and Jersey Mike's).

And finally, we are looking forward to the Public School Foundation's 5k for Education on Saturday, March 18 at 9 AM. Many staff members, students, and parents have registered to walk or jog the 3.1 mile route around UNC's campus. I look forward to a fun event with our roadrunners!

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.  Please follow Ephesus Road Elementary on Facebook and @EphesusElem on Twitter. Please also check out our website for volunteer opportunities. I hope you have a great week!
