Principal's Message for 3/7/16

posted Mar 6, 2016, 12:41 PM by 311 Ees

Some important announcements for the week of March 7:

First, please note that grade level newsletters will come home this Monday electronically or in students' folders. I apologize for the miscommunication last week.

Second, the character trait for the month of March is perseverance. Please take some time to talk to your children about what that means for them.

Third, congratulations to Ms. Ducanis and Ms. Vesser's classes for winning the winter Box Tops challenge. We collected enough to earn over $500. Keep clipping those Box Tops and we'll let you know when the next collection will be.

And finally, we know how confusing all of our communication can be. I hope that this list will help clarify some of the messages you receive.

- Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools - You may receive district messages related to parent presentations, inclement weather, and/or delayed openings. These messages are from the district office and usually apply to the entire community.

- Ephesus Elementary - These messages are from our school. We try to limit them to one each Sunday, but sometimes need to add updates. These messages usually apply to the Ephesus Community only.

- PTA - The PTA sends out a weekly blast with information about events, meetings, and ways you can be involved in your child's education.

- peachjar - We use peachjar for distribution of outside agency information. This could be flyers about camp, community meetings, and/or enrichment classes for students.

As always, if you receive a message and have questions, please call or email me at school. I'd be happy to help decipher the mass of information that parents receive each week.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.  Please follow Ephesus Elementary on Facebook and @EphesusElem on Twitter. Please also check out the volunteer opportunities on our website. I hope you have a great week.
